Credit Controller Vacancy (20 Hours)

Due to organisational change, Ellsworth Adhesives are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our finance team as a part time credit controller.  You will be responsible for your own ledgers (which includes our European companies) as well as assisting the regional credit controller and finance team when required. Full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities

  • To safeguard each cash flow position by maintaining customer relationships and ensuring any overdue amounts are actively collected
  • Carry out credit control activities via a variety of methods
  • Maintain accurate records of all credit control activity on in-house database
  • Provide accurate advice on customer invoice queries
  • Open new customer accounts, set credit limits, terms and VAT registrations and ensure details are up to date
  • Posting cash to sales ledger using multi currencies
  • Allocation of cash receipts to customers’ accounts for selected companies as well as updating orders on hold as and when payments are received
  • Processing customer credits which have been approved
  • Carry out regular checks on selected customers
  • Regular review of the process folder to ensure updates carried out when required
  • Additional duties as requested by the financial controller

Key Skills

  • Previous experience within an accounts environment (credit control desirable)
  • Previous posting of receipts and billing experience
  • Strong communication skills and engaging manner
  • IT literate, including Word and Excel
  • Experience of sage 200 (desirable)
  • Flexible and adaptable to circumstance
